History of Vintage Tin of Maryland
Vintage Tin of Maryland, Inc. (VTM) is a street rod club founded in 1971. VTM members are dedicated to promoting street rodding as a constructive family oriented sport and supporting the community. VTM members strive to be positive role models and active members of their communities, and these traits are deeply embedded in club activities.
VTM sponsors a yearly Car Show/Picnic to raise money for
various organizations. We also sponsor several smaller car shows
through out the year.
VTM provides an annual $1000 automotive scholarship and provides a $1000 annual donation to the Hospice of Chesapeake.
VTM is proud of its history of helping organizations and individuals needing assistance. Listed below are some of the organizations and individuals VTM has helped.
- The Salvation Army
- Sara Adams Fund and Nathan Pauley Heart Fund (children who needed organ transplants)
- Special Boy Scout Troop #216
- Sarah's House (homeless/transition shelter)
- Purchase of equipment for The Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital
- Donations to fellow car club's charities
- Anne Arundel County Police Activity Program
- Purchase, preparation, and distribution of meals to Glen Square (assisted living facility)
- The Special Olympics of Maryland
- Cancer Society of America
- Hospice of Chesapeake
- Toys for Tots
Purpose/Objectives of VTM (from the By-Laws):
A. To promote the unification of persons participating in the sport of street rodding in Maryland and surrounding areas.
B. To create good fellowship and sportsmanship among all members of the organization.
C. To conduct club functions and activities in a manner befitting members of the street rodding sport.
D. To advance a better understanding of street rodding as a constructive family oriented sport among the public, press, and law enforcement.
E. To operate a non-profit organization.
